The Advantages of Being An AFP Member

Recently, I ran into the folks from Nonprofit Hub at the 2013 AFP International Conference on Fundraising in San Diego California. We chatted about a number of topics, one of which was the advantages of being an AFP member. If you aren’t already an AFP member, I encourage you to look into joining!

NPHub: Let’s talk a little bit about AFP. You’re involved with that pretty heavily. What are some of the advantages of being an AFP member?

Jay: Well, AFP is all about education and mentoring and all the factors involved with that. So people get a chance to meet with the AFP members in their local area. They can come to a national convention like this and do that. I’ve always felt that this was one of the premier associations of any type. Of course, I’m very honored to actually be on the board now and try to have a little impact on how we keep moving this forward.
