Meet The Bloomerang Team
This isn’t our first rodeo. We’ve assembled an unparalleled team of experts in technology and fundraising to create Bloomerang. We’re obsessed with the way a shared vision can build a culture, and add meaning to people’s lives. We are servant-hearted, but strong. We are smart, but kind. We are experts in technology, but know how to talk about it like regular humans. We love what a great solution can do, but we love what people can do even more.
Sales and Marketing
Adrian Sargeant was one of the primary driving forces in the creation of Bloomerang. His career-long research into donor loyalty has taken him from Indiana University, where he was the first Hartsook Chair in fundraising, to the Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy at Plymouth University in the United Kingdom where he serves as its director. He most recently developed the UK’s new National Occupational Standard for Fundraising. The algorithm that controls our proprietary engagement meter, which automatically adjusts based on constituent interaction, was designed by Dr. Sargeant. He also drew upon his decades of research to design our donor engagement surveys.
Tom Ahern. considered to be one of North America’s leading authorities on donor communications, serves as our “Donor Communications Head Coach.” His best practices for written donor communication are found in Bloomerang as the “Ahern Audit.” Tom is the author of four books: “On Donor Newsletters,” “How to Write Fundraising Materials That Make More Money,” “Keep Your Donors” and “Seeing Through a Donor’s Eyes.” He works with dozens of clients nationwide every year. They include brand names like the Sierra Club and Save the Children, as well as hospitals, universities, foundations, and local charities.
