YWCA Oklahoma City

YWCA Oklahoma City is part of the oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization in the nation. Across the globe, we stand with more than 25 million members in 106 countries, including 2.6 million members and participants in 300 local associations in the United States.

YWCA Oklahoma City works to break the cycle and empower new beginnings for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in our community. Through our comprehensive crisis services, we provide an opportunity for renewed hope and a brighter future.

Challenge

YWCA Oklahoma City was looking for a user-friendly, donor-centric donor management system with better reporting functionality than their previous system. “Our former database didn’t have many features that were user-friendly or that helped with donor cultivation,” said Jodi Coats, Grant Writer at YWCA Oklahoma City.

After receiving a recommendation for Bloomerang and sitting in on a demo, Jodi and her team got excited about the donor cultivation opportunities.

Solution

YWCA Oklahoma City had finally found a dependable, user-friendly system that could grow with them throughout the whole development and acknowledgment process. Increasing donor retention and improving donor communications through households, thank you letter tracking, reporting, and recurring donations were important to Jodi. “We anticipate an increase in donations from our year-end mailer due to better donor tracking and household management.”

Being able to run reports and segment all of their data was also important, and that’s why Jodi was originally drawn to Bloomerang’s reporting functionality and user-friendliness. “We have benefited from the donor retention feature by easily pulling reports. This is a feature our previous system did not have.”

Results

YWCA Oklahoma City has seen several fundraising pain points be alleviated since implementing Bloomerang. One such benefit is that the team is now able to spend more time doing what they do best. Bloomerang’s functionality, user-friendliness, and reporting features have saved staff time and increased productivity.

At the end of the day, all of this has contributed to YWCA Oklahoma City dedicating more time and focus on donor cultivation and relationship building through segmented communications. “There has been an increase in consistent communication and tracking due to the notes feature. This ensures that relationships are cultivated to the organization instead of just the employee.”

It’s amazing what a user-friendly, donor-centric tool can do for the growth of an organization such as YWCA Oklahoma City. “We love Bloomerang!”
