U.S. Figure Skating
The USFSA is the national governing body of the sport of figure skating in the United States and has a membership of over 140,000.
Challenge
Emmaline Repp, Program Coordinator of Giving Programs at USFSA, was looking to find their first donor database.“Bloomerang was recommended by a fundraising mentor, but once I started researching it alongside other companies I realized its user ease and the simple layout made it both useful and incredibly appealing.”
Solution
USFSA ditched Excel in mid-2015 and hasn’t looked back.
“We use it to track fundraising campaigns, membership campaigns, specific programs throughout the year, and donor retention exercises.
“The most noticeable change was knowing my donors – I was working from a spreadsheet before and it didn’t allow me to get to know who I was talking to.”
Results
Now, USFSA is tracking donor retention for the first time.
“Being able to track goals and progress for campaigns is a huge help. It also allows us to keep track of and publicly acknowledge donors with fewer mistakes.”
