Tom Ahern is considered one of North America’s leading authorities on donor communications. He specializes in bequest marketing, donor communications evaluations, direct mail, newsletter interventions and case statements for big-ticket campaigns. Each year, he delivers dozens of workshops on the techniques of (and psychology behind) effective fundraising communications.Session – The Big Diff: Writing for Digital – Digital is different. For one thing, it can move and speak (video). For another, it’s action-oriented: people click a lot; they read very little. Tom will cover today’s best practices in this ever-evolving world.

Simone Joyaux, ACFRE, Adv Dip

Simone Joyaux, ACFRE, Adv Dip, is the Principle of Joyaux Associates and an internationally recognized leader and author in the nonprofit sector. She teaches in the graduate program for philanthropy at Saint Mary’s University, in Minneapolis, USA. Her books include Keep Your Donors, Strategic Fund Development and Firing Lousy Board Members. Currently she chairs the Board of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England and chairs the advisory board of the Hartsook Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy at Plymouth University in the UK.Session – Building Relationships with Donors by Creating Extraordinary Experiences – Donors are leaving. Research shows that retention worldwide is scandalously low. But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can fix it! Simone will explain how to build donor loyalty through relationship building.

Thousands of nonprofits in all 50 U.S. states, across Canada, and in more than 30 countries have participated in Kivi’s trainings.

Ross Hendrickson is a Co-Founder and COO at Bloomerang. He graduated with a B.S. in Economics & Engineering Science from Vanderbilt University. Ross spent five years with eTapestry and later Blackbaud as an Account Executive and Business Analyst. Later, he served as Product Manager for Bostech Corporation and Avectra.

Session – Bloomerang Roadmap – Ross will give an overview of recent changes to Bloomerang and look ahead to 2017’s planned innovations.
