How Friends of the White River Grows Supporter Relationships with Bloomerang

Join us for a webinar in celebration of Earth Day featuring Bloomerang customer, Friends of the White River (FOWR). This nonprofit exists to protect, preserve, and promote vital resources for communities in Central Indiana by connecting people to the White River. They advocate for a clean, healthy river ecosystem and enhance equitable public access by effectively collaborating with individuals, educators, governments, businesses, and fellow nonprofits across the community.

Bloomerang has helped FOWR regularly host hands-on events to engage their supporters, including river cleanups, stewardship workshops, water safety summer camps, rafting expeditions, and much more.

Eddie Gill IV is a passionate environmental advocate, lifelong outdoorsman, and champion for diversity in the outdoor community. Eddie holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a master’s in Non-Profit Management from Grace College. Throughout college, Eddie worked at the Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams, gaining experience in research, education, and aquarium management. Eddie’s professional journey with Friends of the White River (FOWR) began as an intern and has led to roles as Development Manager, Director of Outdoor Education, and currently, Interim Executive Director.

Host Marissa Johnson
Marissa is the Customer Marketing Specialist at Bloomerang, where she develops customer advocacy strategies, interviews clients to write success stories, and hosts customer spotlight webinars. She also manages customer research, annual awards, and review campaigns. She has fundraising experience in the field of higher ed, and a marketing background in sectors including healthcare, DEI, technology, and HR.
