When done right, donor cultivation and stewardship take time. Just to be clear, I’m not talking about waiting an extended period of time before making your first or subsequent asks. In fact, many industry experts believe quite the contrary. The time to which I’m referring are the hours spent on touchpoints or “moves” with prospects and donors to keep constituent relationships from going stale.
Bloomerang created task email notifications to make it incredibly easy to manage each touchpoint with your constituents directly from your email inbox. Managing relationships from your inbox means spending less time entering data and more time cultivating and stewarding constituents.
Here’s how it works:
As soon as a touchpoint is created in Bloomerang, the person assigned – someone on your development staff, board members, or even yourself – will receive an email notifying them that a task was assigned. When tasks are updated with new information, or if they become overdue, Bloomerang will automatically send updates to notify assignees.
Task emails will include all the necessary information to make contact with the constituent. This includes any notes, attachments, or any important details included when creating or updating the task.
With Bloomerang’s task emails, not only can assignees view all the information needed for the touchpoint, but they can also complete the task directly from their inbox. That’s right, board members (or anyone) who are assigned tasks will never have to log into Bloomerang to complete them. Simply replying to the task email will complete the task in Bloomerang. Any text included in the email reply will also be added to the constituent’s timeline in Bloomerang.
That’s it. It really is that simple. Create or update tasks in Bloomerang and emails will be sent automatically to their assignees. If a task becomes overdue – no problem – we will remind you. Use Bloomerang tasks to engage constituents and ensure your donors don’t forget about you.
