Meet Kristen Salmon – Product Manager at Bloomerang
Kristen has gained a lot of nonprofit experience throughout the years. Before joining Bloomerang, she was a Program Officer for two years at ServeIndiana (previously the Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives) where she worked with AmeriCorps State programs across Indiana and facilitated the grant application process. To complement her experience, Kristen is also a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts of the USA. She co-led a troop in grad school, and interned at the GSUSA Public Policy and Advocacy office in DC. She’s enjoyed working at summer camp in Maine for economically-disadvantaged youth for four summers, and with a youth leadership program for New England students for a year.
Previously a member of Bloomerang’s Support Team for 3 years, Kristen now puts her rich nonprofit management and policy knowledge to good use by researching, providing design input, and writing specification documents for new features and product enhancements. She ensures that our nonprofit customers can put their best foot forward every time they log into their database. In her free time she enjoys traveling, baking, hiking, spending time outdoors, and loving on all the cats and dogs.
Kristen holds a Master of Public Affairs degree with concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Policy Analysis from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Oklahoma State University (go Pokes!). She also worked for two years as a Research Assistant in grad school on the multi-year Indiana Nonprofits: Scope and Community Dimensions project
