According to the US Census Bureau, there are more than 46 million adults age 65 and older living in the U.S.; by 2050, that number is expected to grow to almost 90 million. This creates both a demand and opportunity for organizations whose focus is primarily serving this target group. Our funder list below focuses on funding for those prioritizing senior care, opportunities and resources for elderly individuals, and for researchers focused on concerns that affect the elderly.
See if any of these funders serve your community and if you can qualify for funding. (If this topic does not apply to your organization, explore my other funder lists on Kindful as well as on Bloomerang.)
Grant Research Tip: When searching for funding, it is important not to overlook potential federal or state resources. While this type of funding may take a little more digging to find (compared to private funders), with a little bit of research you can uncover some. At Grantli, I have created a state resources page where you can find useful links to state government departments and various other resources. Also, learn exactly how I do my own grant research and how your organization can find more appropriate funders and funding opportunities.
