Donor care is usually assigned to the development team and executive director. What if the board was supportive too? Beyond writing thank you notes, what can the board do? Board involvement not only leads to donors feeling essential and aligned with the organization, but it also helps the board with fundraising and donor stewardship. This creates a win-win situation for donors, boards, and the organization.

Speaker Sonia Saleh
When Sonia Saleh started Uplifting Nonprofits in 2010, it was with a mission to “save” the world. This desire hasn't changed and is now the primary focus in bringing fundraising mastery to boards and executives. She is recognized for her program Unleash Inner Fundraiser, about accessing new thinking with brain science and unlocking the mysteries of fundraising. Sonia has been a member of Rotary International for 10 years and is currently District Governor, engaging over 60 clubs with more than 1,500 members on Long Island, NY. Beyond her love of supporting nonprofits, Sonia is a diverse person. She hails from a multicultural background and speaks three languages; Arabic, French, and English. She loves to travel and eat chocolate and potato chips.

When not working, Mary tends to her flower garden, travels, and enjoys adventures with her dog and family.
