About the presenter:
Jeff Jowdy is founder and president of Lighthouse Counsel, a consulting firm serving nonprofit clients in board development, fundraising, strategic planning and communications with offices in Athens, GA and Franklin, TN.
Jeff has more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience. Prior to joining the development field he was a human resources executive for a major medical center. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication and also studied Speech Communication on the graduate level at the university. He received a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Troy University.
He serves on the board of Leadership Middle Tennessee. He is on the executive committee of the University of Georgia Alumni Association and is chairman of the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication Board of Trust. Jeff serves as vice president of the national Phi Kappa Theta Foundation and is a past president of the Nashville Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has been recognized as the chapter’s Fundraising Professional of the Year. A board member of Leadership Middle Tennessee, he is a member of the Rotary Club of Nashville.
A frequent speaker on nonprofit topics, Jeff authors the popular weekly NonProfit Pro (formerly FundRaising Success) blog Bedrocks and Beacons.
