When: Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 – 9am-10:30am PST
Where: Fundly – 657 Bryant Street, San Francisco, California 94107
Today, fundraisers are depending on multiple channels to acquire donors. But even as new technologies allow us to acquire donors previously thought to be unattainable, overall donor retention rates are still abysmal. In this interactive session, Steve Chew of Fundly will discuss how crowdfunding is evolving into the future, and Amy Sermersheim of Bloomerang will outline strategies for retaining donors once they have converted.
- Learn the social psychology of giving among millennials, the impact of mobile payments, and the influence of geographic location on donation patterns
- Be familiar with current research on donor retention and how an increase or decrease can impact your bottom line
- Understand how to calculate your donor retention rate
- Learn new donor communications techniques in order to improve donor loyalty and retention
Time will be given for a lively Q&A session.
