Fundraising doesn’t happen just behind a computer screen. It encompasses calls, personal emails, texts, and all the little interactions that strengthen your relationship with your donors — all of which need to be recorded so that you can reference it later.
Yet, it’s hard to keep track of it all, especially when you don’t always have a computer in front of you. I don’t know about you, but I consider it a good day if I remember even half of a conversation more than an hour after it happened.
So how do you do it? How do you keep your database up-to-date when the information is still fresh in your mind?
That’s where we can help.
We turned our best practices into an easy to use mobile application so that you can have all the power of Bloomerang in your pocket when you need it the most.
Take action with your information
Need to call one of your donors quickly? Go to the profile and use our quick contact feature to call, text, email, or get directions for that constituent. After you come back to the app, we will prompt you to create an interaction while the conversation is fresh in your mind. With Apple’s voice dictation, you don’t even have to type in your notes!
Complete tasks directly from the mobile application, and even create follow ups so that you never forget what your next step with a donor is.
Soon we will even have the First Time Donor Call List available in the mobile app, so that you can immediately make the call without ever having to type in a phone number.
Access your information easily
You now can “favorite” constituents in Bloomerang, so that you can have quick access to the constituents that you contact the most or just simply want to keep an eye on. The best part is, this is based on the user, so you don’t have to have the same favorites as the rest of your organization.
We’ve also made it easier to see additional information in the actual constituent record. We’ve surfaced important information, like households and communication restrictions so that you can immediately see this information without having to click through the profile.
You can even use the Bloomerang iOS app with our desktop version at the same time to further streamline your fundraising efforts.
Real Time Insights and Updates
With the mobile app, keeping accurate information at your fingertips is easier than ever.
We’ve added an activity feed where you can see all incoming donations as they come in. See one that is extraordinary? You can immediately go to the constituent’s record from that entry and give them a call to thank them.
We’ve also added the ability for you to accept donations on the go, not just by entering the donation into the app, but also by integrating with Stripe’s credit card swiper to allow swipe or chip donations.
This is just the beginning of the mobile app. We will start working on the Android version soon, and have many more improvements that we know we want to make.
With everything that is going on, we wanted to get this functionality into your hands as soon as possible. So we have decided to release the app early, while we finish up the remaining updates we want to make. This means that you are able to download it, but we are still working on some additional features like the First Time Donor Call list.
If you have any questions or would like to share feedback on the Bloomerang iOS app, we would love to hear from you. We are all very excited for you to start using it!
