Indianapolis-based Bloomerang, a provider of donor management software to U.S. and Canadian nonprofits, has finalized a six-figure gift to The Fundraising Standard, a new 501(c)(3) co-founded by Dr. Adrian Sargeant, the Director of the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy and the world’s leading fundraising educator and researcher.
The Fundraising Standard is an interactive 40-hour program of online learning designed to give participants a thorough introduction to the process of fundraising and get them started on their first fundraising campaign.
The class is led by Sargeant, who is joined by Emma Bryant and Harriet Day; both credentialed fundraising educators with experience of fundraising in multiple countries.
“The Fundraising Standard is proud of its relationship with Bloomerang,” said Sargeant. “Bloomerang has made the support, development and education of fundraisers the focus of its service to the community, and the course will draw on much of the wisdom the Bloomerang team have (has?) assembled from their webinar series. Bloomerang will also lead the final week of the class showing participants how to get the best from their fundraising database.”
Jay Love, co-founder of Bloomerang, has joined the board, along with Matthew J. Beem, PhD, CFRE of Hartsook, AFP Master Trainer Kishshana Palmer, CFRE, Art Taylor of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance, Roger Craver of The Agitator and DonorTrends, and Rachel Muir, co-founder of Girlstart.
Full participation in the Fundraising Standard is applicable for 40 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification. Participation in the Fundraising Standard may assist you in learning or reviewing concepts covered on the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) examination as detailed on the Test Content Outline provided by CFRE International. CFRE International does not sponsor or endorse any educational programs and the Fundraising Standard was not developed in conjunction with CFRE International.
“Bloomerang has always invested an enormous amount of our resources into educating the sector,” said Ross Hendrickson, CEO of Bloomerang. “Since funding research to giving experts is a platform on our webinar series and blog, supporting The Fundraising Standard was a no-brainer.”
All Bloomerang customers will each receive one free scholarship to the program for an employee of their choice.
Complimentary seats to the program will also be made available to qualifying community foundations for evaluation purposes.
