We are elated to announce that Bloomerang and Kindful users raised $39,298,352.01 on Giving Tuesday 2021, a 40% increase over their Giving Tuesday 2020 donation revenue.

Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that occurs every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (United States), saw 35 million adults participate in 2021 in the U.S., a 6% increase over 2020.

Giving in the United States alone totaled $2.7 billion, representing a 9% increase compared to Giving Tuesday 2020, and a 37% increase since 2019.

“Since both Bloomerang and Giving Tuesday were founded in 2012, it has been fun and exciting to see the growth of both organizations,” said Ross Hendrickson, CEO of Bloomerang. “We have always encouraged and equipped our customers to participate in Giving Tuesday, and it’s so rewarding to think about the impact that the nonprofits in our community will be able to make using these funds.”

In order to estimate total giving on Giving Tuesday, Bloomerang partners with Giving Tuesday Data Commons, an open and distributed network of partners across sectors and borders who seek to understand the drivers and impacts of generosity, explore giving behaviors and patterns, and use this data to inspire more giving around the world.

“Giving Tuesday fundraising results in 2021 were largely driven by the recent release of a new suite of online fundraising tools and Bloomerang Payments, our best-in-class payment processor,” said Ann Fellman, CMO of Bloomerang. “Much of our product roadmap this year has been purpose-built to help our customers make the most of the generosity that occurs in the final weeks of the year, as well as the overall growth of online giving in the sector.”

Success on Giving Tuesday is reflective of Bloomerang’s vision to deliver the donor management and fundraising platform of the future. Earlier this year, Bloomerang acquired Kindful, a nonprofit software platform known for its best-in-class third-party application integrations and online fundraising tools. In addition to its software offerings, Bloomerang’s highly-rated customer support (lauded in customer satisfaction reviews) makes it the complete donor management solution and fundraising teammate that growing nonprofits need.
