The Association of Fundraising Professionals Iowa, Central Chapter serves over 125 fundraising professionals who work for a wide variety of charitable organizations in Central Iowa, including Des Moines, Ames, and surrounding areas.

Tell us about the piece you are nominating:

Bloomerang recently exhibited at the 20th Annual Mid America Conference on Fundraising, which is organized by the AFP IA, Central Chapter. A few days after the event, they sent us a thank you letter:

You can see that they used a clever “mad libs” format for creative personalization.

Why do you think they are deserving of a Bloomie?

It’s easy to send a standard (boring) form letter as an acknowledgement, but this AFP chapter went the extra mile and delivered a creative piece that caught our attention. The handwritten signatures of the stakeholders adds a nice touch, and they even knew that Ross likes to golf!

As Prof. Adrian Sargeant says, your gift acknowledgements don’t have to read like a holiday thank you letter to your aunt:

How can you spice up your gift acknowledgements in an unexpected and creative way?
