3 Reasons To Attend the 2016 Nonprofit Storytelling Conference

Despite being only a few years old, the Nonprofit Storytelling Conference has become one of our favorite annual events, along with Cause Camp and the #DonorLove Rendezvous.

This small but powerful event is poised to help fundraisers become better storytellers; a somewhat unsung – but crucial – goal.

Here are three reasons why you need to attend the Nonprofit Storytelling Conference:

1. The speaker line-up is amazing

The NSC poses one question:

“If you had the best donor communication experts personally helping you with your stories, could you raise more money?”

They truly have assembled the best donor communication experts in the industry.

If the speaker line-up was a sports team, they would be a combination of the 1992 Olympics “Dream Team” and the 1985 Chicago Bears with Muhammad Ali, Roger Federer and Wayne Gretzky warming the bench – all coached by Bruce Lee.

Kivi Leroux Miller, Jeff Brooks, Susan Howlett, Sean Triner, Leah Eustace, Steven Screen, Lori L. Jacobwith, Tom Ahern, Gail Perry, Harvey McKinnon, Jen Love, Josh Hirsch, Rachel Muir, Sheena Greer, Shanon Doolittle, John Lepp, Beth Ann Locke, Michelle Brinson, Tammy Zonker, Trent Thompson, Chris Davenport, Marc A. Pitman, Andrea Khilstedt, Jim Shapiro, Kristin Steele, Marc Rovner, and Wendy Rohrbacher are some of the smartest minds in the nonprofit sector. We may never see a line-up of this caliber ever again.

2. Nonprofits need to learn how to speak in stories

You can probably tell that this event won’t offer the same old fundraising advice you’ve been hearing for years.

It instead focuses on storytelling specifically, because it’s really important. Why?

In the video below, Tom Ahern explains why you need to speak in stories:

And in this video, Shanon Doolittle

By the way, all of their presentations are being recorded. If can’t travel to the event, you can buy the video only option. You’ll get videos of every session, in all six tracks.

3. Bloomerang is making it easy

As the presenting sponsor in 2016, we want to help you go to the Nonprofit Storytelling Conference! Leading up to the event, we are providing 10 scholarships per week that are worth $100 each.
