Meet Ron Newlin – Customer Support Specialist at Bloomerang
With more than 30 years of experience working in the nonprofit world, Ron really has seen it all. He knows the successes and mistakes of the industry better than most. Before joining Bloomerang, he was the Director of Development for American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana, Executive Director at the Indiana State Museum Foundation, and Executive Director at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Ron has also spent substantial time volunteering in multiple capacities. He’s been a Vestry Member with Trinity Episcopal Church, a Treasurer with Association of Indiana Museums, a Board Member with Indianapolis Fringe Festival, and a Founder and Principal Advisor to the Valley Hometowns Fund, a donor-advised community development fund at the Northern Indiana Community Foundation.
Now at Bloomerang, Ron puts his extensive nonprofit knowledge and communication experience to good use by assisting nonprofits with database-related questions, and walking them through solutions in a friendly, professional, and consultative manner. He ensures that our nonprofit customers are using their data and the Bloomerang database in way that will help them increase their mission’s impact. When he’s not busy inventing fire and the wheel, Ron enjoys watching the musical, Hamilton, listening to the soundtrack, and making up his own rap lyrics that sounds like Hamilton songs.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Ball State University, and a Master of Arts degree in American History from Indiana University Bloomington.
