Meet Kara Henderson-Baldwin – Account Associate at Bloomerang
Kara has spent 15 years in the nonprofit world before joining the Bloomerang team as an Account Associate. Prior to Bloomerang, Kara was the Assistant Director of Interpretation at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Operations Manager at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. She also spent over 9 years as Director of Visitor Experience at The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art where she was responsible for attendance projections, budgeting, and reporting — among other things. Her areas of focus in her previous nonprofit jobs were all things visitor related: museum retail, visitor services, visitor studies and visitor interaction.
Now as an Account Associate with Bloomerang, she enjoys helping small nonprofits utilize new software to increase their effectiveness and knowledge of fundraising best practices. In her free time Kara enjoys hiking, watching sci-fi movies, and listening to live music. She also loves spending time with her daughter, Stella, and two cats, Wayne and Van Gogh.
Kara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Indiana University Bloomington, and a Master’s degree in Museology/Museum Studies from Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis.
